Growing up the son of professors, the value of education was instilled in Dave from a very early age. He has worked in the field for over a decade now, beginning as an ESL teacher in international schools in Europe and Asia, and later transitioning to the administrative side back in the US. He has learned over the years that every student has a unique learning style, and has found his passion in working with non-traditional forms of education meant to support more diverse learners. Dave has developed college-readiness programs for low income, first generation high school students, led experiential gap year programs abroad, directed international exchange programs at the university level, and managed virtual learning programs for adults going through career changes. He has most recently found a home supporting KaiPod’s Microschool founders, ensuring they receive the support, resources, and guidance necessary to thrive.

Dave has discovered about himself that he thrives most in small, personalized learning environments. He found a sincere joy for learning in liberal arts colleges, and holds a dual B.A. in Economics and Sociology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and a M.A. in International Education Management from Middlebury.

Dave lives in beautiful Tucson, Arizona, and when he’s not working can usually be found outdoors on his mountain bike, reading historical fiction novels in his hammock, or seeking out the best dog-friendly trails with his adventure pup, Sasha.
