Sheffie Robinson is a visionary leader, educator, and entrepreneur dedicated to bridging the gap between education and workforce development through clinical sociology. With over 20 years of experience in software engineering, technology management, education, she is the CEO of Shamrck, a groundbreaking talent pipeline platform designed to upskill high school students for high-growth STEM careers. She also serves as the Executive Director of Accelerate Augusta, an entrepreneurship and workforce initiative in partnership with Augusta Technical College and the Downtown Development Authority of Augusta. As a Clinical Sociologist, Sheffie applies sociological principles to address complex challenges in workforce development, talent management, and corporate strategy. Her expertise is complemented by her certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) and her participation in the DOD-Skillbridge program, where she supports transitioning veterans into new careers and entrepreneurship. Sheffie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Organizational Communication, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) with a specialization in Human Resource Management. She combines her academic pursuits with practical experience, serving as an instructor at Augusta Technical College and a faculty member at Georgia Southern University. Her teaching emphasizes management, entrepreneurship, and the integration of sociological principles into business practices to align workforce and economic development. Sheffie’s work has garnered significant recognition, including an NSF SBIR grant for $275,000, a $100,000 in funding from Google, and funding from Beyonce’s Knowles-Carter’s BeyGood Foundation Small Business Grant facilitated by the NAACP and Beyoncé Knowles. In addition to her leadership roles, Sheffie is a sought-after speaker, advocate, and mentor, using her platform to inspire students, educators, and business leaders. Through her innovative approach, she aims to redefine the future of workforce development by connecting education with meaningful employment opportunities. In her personal life, Sheffie is a mom of 4 to Trevor, 21, Christine, 19, Miles, 10, and Adonis, 18 months. She works in her community to support her high school alma mater as the President of the T.W. Josey Alumni Foundation, helping students reach their dreams through career, technical, and agricultural education to reach economic goals for their future.
