This is one of the best schools I could ever have imagined to find for my son! My son is autistic with a massive ADHD component, and let me tell you it is almost impossible to get that child to pay attention to anything from more than two seconds! But somehow someway, Mrs. Bonnie at Royal Oak Academy was able to not only get my child to pay attention, but to engage and comprehend! He has gone from not knowing his numbers at all to being able to count all the way up to 30 he has gone from not knowing his colors to knowing all of his colors and his shapes. He knows 97% of his alphabet by sight and is already starting to learn his sight words and how to read! All these things I have tried to teach my son on my own, but somehow Mrs. Bonnie at Royal Oak Academy was able to do that. It was a very sad day when we moved away, leaving behind Royal Oak Academy was one of the hardest things for us to do because I knew in my heart I would never find another school as good as this one! Let me tell you this if ever I move back to this area Mrs. Bonnie will be the very first phone call we make to get him reenrolled!
