I have dedicated over 30 years to positively impacting the lives of children and adults. My journey began at the age of 14 when I first worked with youth as a babysitter. After graduating from high school, I attended business school while simultaneously working at United Parcel Service (UPS). Upon completing my education, I was employed by the State Department, where I had the opportunity to travel internationally for ten years.
Driven by a desire to return to youth engagement, I founded my own family daycare in 2000. After a decade of nurturing children through my daycare and summer programs, I pursued my passion for nursing. I gained valuable experience at Children's National Medical Center, Civista Medical Center, and Kaiser Permanente. Additionally, I contributed to the Math Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) program at J.P. Ryon Elementary during the 2014-2015 school year.
Currently, I serve along side my husband Vernon Myers II as the Founder and Chair of KidsSTREAM, Inc., an organization dedicated to academically and socially preparing youth in Southern Maryland for careers or courses in science, technology, research, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Both Vernon and I are excited to launch our micro school BWright Academy.
