Rocky Stars Community Campus is a small, tuition-free school that offers project and mastery-based learning in a nurturing environment. At Rocky Stars, we give our students more autonomy over their learning than is typical in traditional schools. We teach both academic and practical skills through mastery-based and inquiry-led learning models, with a heavy emphasis on guided projects. Students receive a strong foundation in Math and English through mastery-based programs tailored to their specific needs.
We explore topics such as civics, history, the sciences, and arts through a combination of experiments, inquiry-led research, multimedia projects, and writing assignments. Students also build important life skills like time management, emotional regulation, communication skills, responsibility, initiative, basic housekeeping, financial literacy, and more. A portion of our day is also set aside for students to explore their interests through self-guided, project-based learning.
